Interesting that it's now over and less than a week ago certain insiders said that after the deal was done we would hear disinformation.

Is it live or memorex?

If we made a run a Gruden and he rejected it then Currie would be wise to let it leak in order to let everyone know that Tennessee has gotten serious about football!!!

Finally, some credible info. Probably healthy to accept this, hope for the best, prepare for the worst, and move on.

I know the football program is a different breed, but Currie has kept his other hires tight lipped. I do not expect anything different for the football program. I think anybody saying they know anything concrete is wrong. I'd venture to say there's only a small amount of people, those with $$$$ and influence, that know what is actually happening behind closed doors. In my opinion, this is not information journalists and reporters happen upon. I hope a lot of what we have heard is true, but I would not be surprised if it is just misinformation to throw us off. We screwed it up in 2012, I do not think they want that to happen again. Regardless, I just hope it is true that the boosters are aligned once again and the money is there to get a big name.

first of all why would any part of the AD department or boosters for that matter would take a chance and leak information that a deal is done....they're not going to until butch is out of a job.

I refuse to believe we wouldn't give up whatever it takes to make Gruden our head coach. If he turned us down, it's because he simply didn't wanna coach college football. No way UT f'd this up this time imo.

Nobody knew the lady vols name was coming back until the press conference was announced. That’s been a huge deal and Currie kept a tight lip about it. My gut tells me Currie and maybe a very few handful of people actually know what’s going on.
