Here’s the problem though. No one will ever believe we made a serious run at him because every time it’s mentioned to any of the mainstream media, it’s blown off and laughed at. Jon won’t admit it either. So we’re left with “message board rumors” of which no one other than us will believe. The perception of our program will be the same: we can’t land a big time coach.

A lot of truth here that needs to be considered

Guy has been a member for TOS for 7 and has less than 100 posts. I doubt he is some troll trying to rain on people's parades just because he wants Kelly more than Gruden.

I honestly don't know what to believe but until Butch is fired and the search is officially on im taking it all with a grain of salt. Until Gruden says no and it's reported by a reputable source I'm holding out hope that he's a candidate though.

Sounds reasonable to me for a Great staff, and it's not like the AD can't afford it, especially if it's true that the big donors are on board.
