Yep. The vindictive part of me wants to call Jimmy Hyams every day the rest of his life to remind him he was wrong.

First off, I don't believe they fire Butch unless he loses the seventh game of the season and he doesn't make a bowl, UT is far to cheap to pay the almost 14 million needed for his buyouts and his assistants. If he does lose the seventh game Butch is done at UT, but the administration is hoping for the 6-6 season and they will make Currie sell his return for next season.

Second, if he loses seven or more games, he gets fired but there's a chance he will continue to coach the rest of the season. The only was he gets fired with a chance at a winning record is if he agrees to a buyout offer made by UT.

Third, I don't believe Butch will ever take less money to walk away mid season.

Fourth, Gurden will never be the head coach at UT.

Fifth, if Butch does get fired UT will get an inexperienced coach to replace him.

Sixth, all UT cares about is making money, they aren't fully committed to winning championships again.

They lay facts out as they see them and don't care who believes them. They'll share what they can. But yes, yesterday was the worst case of fly on crap mess I've ever seen on VN.

I agree UT is where he would go if he wants to coach again. I would be tickled if he came here, don't see it happening. It will be a mid level coach from MidWest.

I agree that Grudens personality will not allow him to play second fiddle in the SEC ... and that my friend is exactly why I hope we have the nerve and willingness to offer him (as I have been told) and I pray he has the guts and drive to accept

Different times. Different AD

Butch would take less money and leave early if it means it’s better for him as well. Easier to move on and land a decent and higher paying job now than if things get worse

UT will lose more than 12mil if they keep butch around when he has lost the fan base and is the laughing stock in the media now

Good morning, everyone. I (mercifully) accidently hit "last" when I was at about page 92, so I missed some pages. Hopefully the folks wanting to debate us lose interest today. Or Freak allows a different thread for that. With all these others posters posting hate, there is simply no way I can keep up.
