First, I NEVER hope for a UT loss. However, some of these losses could help us get to a better position w/ HC faster than UF. Bad/marginal UF teams won SEC E two years in down times, and they have to deal with that as equity built up by Mac with modest success, as pointed out by UF poster on their site:

At least they have something to look forward to, Grumors or otherwise. We’re still on the hamster wheel to nowhere. Prolly be another year or two before we pull the plug. By then UT will be a year or two ahead of us with a new regime. One of these days they’ll land a great coach and we’re gonna have to deal with that.

DTO and Boro, y'all are what this thread is all about.. ignore the minority and keep it up! We appreciate it!!! :rock:

They aren’t going anywhere. They were valuable posters before Grudenmania of 2012 and will be long after this coaching change. The hand-wringers don’t matter.

How much fun would it be if UT and UF were on top again... the east is so much more enjoyable when those 2 teams are really clicking.

So we went from the notion of Gruden to the Vols as laughable just a few days ago to the likes of Hubbs and LWS acknowledging tonight that the Vols are targeting Gruden and that its a possibility (even if its remote).

Compare that to just a few days when John Pendegrass and rest of the clowns on the SportsSource were laughing at the very idea of Gruden coaching Vols and the moron named Jimmy Hyams was openly saying he thought Butch Jones would be back next year.

I would call this progress.

Preach it!!!

This is the reality. If he wants to coach college football , I believe he comes here. The money this time and details would work.

Last time he said the time wasn't right. This time I believe it is if he really wants to coach. Multiple things come into view this time. ESPN is going down hill and laying alot of ppl off and cutting way back, his job also could be on the line to with the money he makes there. If nothing else and huge pay cut.

His son is Currently enrolled at UT which if he came back his family would be together. His wife would be with her Family back in East Tn.

If he really wants to Coach again, he knows he would be treated like a GOD here, Fans would go crazy the whole family would be treated like Royalty.

His name alone would bring recruits from all over the US. He does not like recruiting but most of it could be done by Assistant Coaches with him sealing the deal by walking into the recruits house and just saying Im Jon Gruden I want you to play for me.

There is no doubt he loves UT and everything about the Vols. He doesn't even try to hide it and never has, and has always shown favor for his Beloved Vols on TV and everywhere he goes.

Does any of this matter IDK, all I care about is #SOON!!! #IWantChucky #Grumors #Gruden #Grudon #SpiderY2Banana #Tampa2 #GreatestCoachingStaffInAmerica #BeatBamaFloridaGeorgia #NationalChampions #SECCHAMPIONS :machgun::machgun::gun::gun::compute::compute::

He may last 4 - 5 yrs here. Don't think he would stay as long as Saban is at Ala. Would Gruden's personality allow him to be second fiddle in SEC?.

I agree UT is where he would go if he wants to coach again. I would be tickled if he came here, don't see it happening. It will be a mid level coach from MidWest.
