One thing I believe is that they are making a dogged attempt to convince the Gruden to coach the Vols. They are removing any perceived hurdles he sees. If e doesn't take the job it won't be because the administration bungled this attempt. He may just decide to say no. If he says no, I don't think the opportunity will present itself again and he'll be closing the door forever.

Having said that, if he does turn it down, expect a lot of spin on both sides similar to last time. Both sides will claim that nothing serious ever came of the initial talks. Gruden will talk about how he loves the place and whomever takes the job is walking on sacred ground. Everybody be spinning things to make themselves and the other side look good.

But.... I don't think he turns it down!

Thanks. Kind of an Internet Cage Match then, right? I don't watch that junk, but I have a couple of friends who do, and it is absolutely hilarious to hear them talk about that stuff.


I guess we'll know who was FOS; who guessed correctly; and who actually knew what they were talking about when this is all over. Not keeping score, but no doubt some here will.

I really think he'll step down.

He's done a lot for this University, and we owe him that.

Firing him will make him look bad, and he's not a bad person. He deserves another job somewhere else.

Plus at the same time, we shouldn't have to pay his total buyout for either, so this is a win for both sides.

LWS is saying we are in talks with Gruden, and only Gruden ... that the AD is all in on him. TIFWIW.

When I dropped my son off at school this morning, I bent down to hug him as I always do. At that moment he told me, "Have a Grude day," gave an ever so confident smile, and jogged off to class. I looked around to see if any of the other parents had heard or seen, but it was only I who heard those sweet words...

It must be a sign. It's a Grude morning.

I have followed Boro for close to 10 years.

I feel he is as die hard as you can get for wanting success out of the program. If that is what's defined as a troll, troll on sir. I will continue to stop and read your posts as I scroll through the chatter.

Hate to be a dummy, but how do you do it on a mobile? Like, I'll have the screenshot and I click attach and a page pops up where you search for the image, I clicked upload and nothing happens?

Caught just a snippet from 3 & Out this morning, and it sounded like one of them said something about hearing Gruden had backed away in negotiations. They haven't posted the podcast yet so I can't get exactly what was said. Just thought I would drop this here if anyone has anything to add on that topic.
