Is there a link proving manning and the haslam's actually pursued gruden or just rumor's?? Not my 'source' an actual link to prove? Just asking, i've heard this over and over, with nothing but ruomr's to back it up. For all i know it's just from another 'source' that's about as believable as the tooth fairy.

what is the likelihood that your better sources were told by someone else to STFU and started giving you bad info on the backend so Grude could fly under the radar a couple more weeks?

You said that the info was bad and then turned good... why not the other way around?

Manning is the driving force behind this along with the haslams. U are crazy if dont think that. They are all friends. Thats the only reason i think this might still get done. . One thing i find interesting is the reporter from ctp who swears there a deal in the works. He has had alot of contact with tennessee recruits in years past. I think his source that he swears by is Peyton Manning. That is why he.is.so sure of it.

We hear you loud and clear bcartervol. You don't need to repeat yourself 1000x. How about you wait until the new coach is announced before apologizing about sharing info from sources you believe were incorrect? Let it play out. We're almost at the finish line.

We ran Battle out of town on a rail and hired Majors
We slung Majors to the side for Fulmer
We put Fulmer out to pasture and brought in Kiffin
Kiffin bolts and we bring in Dooley
It is about time to get the right guy hired and get this train back on the tracks.

You don't know this anymore than I know this. We are all grasping at straws, guessing, playing out scenarios in our head. Bottom line, WE WILL NEVER KNOW THE TRUTH. MAYBE HIS AGENT WAS TELLING THE TRUTH. Maybe not, but as I said, WE WILL NEVER KNOW.

Not sure, there have been so many stories repeated enough to ring true I honestly do not know if it was a lie, a booster had an attorney type an offer letter, a myth, or what. Kind of irrelevant now tbh.

I'm with you Coasty.... one should never take away someone else's hope. My heart tells me it will be Gruden but my brain tells me it will be someone else. But until that someone is at the podium, I will hold out HOPE for Gruden...
