Completely disagree. Call me foolish. Call me anything you want. This is exactly how it went down for Saban, it's exactly how it down for Urban Meyer.

And, if this is not how it goes down, then the next search you'll be commenting on in Knoxville will be for the position of Athletic Director. :):):)

In the absence of any information directly from the AD, this is pretty much how I'm feeling about Hart right now...

Doing ok considering.
Not sure what to make of all this. Looks like the media and other folks are pulling info out of every orifice imaginable. I am just standing pat and waiting for an announcement.
What are your thoughts on all of this mess?

It simply cannot be true that Hart has done NOTHING. He may have done nothing OFFICIALLY, but look at it this way....

LaMonte said that today was the first time HART spoke to him. He didn't say that it was the first time someone connected to UT had spoken with him.

The reports are that UT has not offered a formal offer to Gruden, again, this also may be true. Most OGs have reported that it was the boosters that pursued Gruden and worked out the framework of a deal.

Finally, LaMonte said that Hart told him he was calling just as a "formality" and was just doing due diligence. That could mean that the deal is pretty much done and Hart was just calling so that he can say he spoke to LaMonte himself.

If Jon Gruden played all of us and when I say us I really mean the boosters and and in particular Peyton, I would think he has hurt himself in the profession. If this has truly came down this way, he would have to be looked at as someone that is a little flakey IMO.

Why? He reported nothing was going on, then he reported talks a meeting was cancelled and talks were over... now the agent is saying no contact was ever made, etc...

If dave hart reached out for the first time today to Lamonte then we need a new AD as of yesterday.

Hart had to realize that the Gruden talk has been heating up since South Carolina. I understand not addressing it until after the season but something should have been said way before now. Like "As of this time, noone has been contacted".

Ridiculous.

Urban was different...both parties were denying for the most part from the start...It was played far better in the media up here in Ohio that UT has played it down there!
