How did assistant pay not come up over the past 6 weeks? I'm still not buying it. That's a very basic thing to agree on.

The money that was discussed on TB today for assistants was 4-5 mil and I had heard around this figure all along????

How is that all NOW an issue???? does not add up?

Its going to get better, we are going to get a good coach. I said all along I was all in on Gruden but he is not some messiah that is the only person in the US that can get it done at UT.

Lets support the coach whomever it is. That's my official stance. I think Stoops, Strong, Gundy, Franklin (dont hate, my opinion), and even Fisher can get it done here. I will give whomever it is the chance to get it done, just as I did Dooley.

Can someone explain why Hargis's report is so ballsy? All I am getting from it is that we extended an offer to him. I just don't see what all the hoopla is about. If he says that Gruden is coming and that he puts his reputation on the line, then I'll be assured. But he just said we offered him.

He is basically calling hart out. The UTAD is putting out that Gruden was never interested enough to discuss contract/money. Hargis is claiming Hart blew it.

Gruden does not want to coach again in college. If he did, this deal would be done. If you really want a job, you go for it. Gruden has become a huge prima donna--and he's an nfl guy. Let's offer a great package to an excellent college coach and get this done.
