Just maybe the Boosters are saying they are not going to pay assistants that much. Anybody know what Sabans staff gets paid?

So to sum up the last 3 hours, Hyams caused a national meltdown today, as opposed to the usual regional one. Still NO WORD from either party other than that...am I missing something? Now we take our news from Hyams seriously and abandon ship? Every report I've read today cites Hyams as the source...

I just got off the phone with my son, who is a Sophomore at UT. Word out of the locker room is Jimbo Fisher is going to be UT's next coach. This is directly from a player who is his biology lab partner and found out this morning. Apparently Fisher is waiting until after the ACC championship game to make the announcement.

If this is true, you have somehow topped the list for worst news of the day.

Dumbest post I have ever read and I have witnessed a Kentucky poster say he was valid victorian of his high school.

This is valid Victorian:

This day is only awful because of the false build up, so you can blame that on yourselves. The rest of the college football world knew this was all completely fabricated and I can only imagine how bad we are being made fun of at other schools...smh

Everything Hargis is saying lines up with everything I am hearing.

Thank goodness someone has the balls to confront the Knoxville media. Knoxville media=Dave Hart's words.

Hargis=boosters & former players words. Hargis is not some joker. He is being fed info from one of the "Big 5". There are some serious political maneuverings going on.

Dave Hart has never wanted Gruden but knew he had to pursue him. Now he is tying to make it look like he tried to no avail. He half assed it. Period. A third party had the framework in place. Gruden wanted to be here. This falls on Hart.

When you give a guy like Hart too much trust, they screw you. The guy hasn't hired a football coach since East Carolina. It's time to listen to the money and the fans, Dave. Or else retirement will start early for you.

Pathetic.

No one forced you to read it...........:good!:

one question before I go, were you posting from the voice of experience? It seems you know so much about the difficulty of typing while having balls in your mouth?

Only someone with personal knowledge of this action would have such details

His maturity amazes me. I wonder if his 10 year old daughter reads this board?

I'm in til someone burns this down with a legitimate fire!

Credit to the poster that put this together:

Follow Saban's lineage of denial right up to becoming coach of the Tide.
A chronology of comments about Nick Saban taking the head coaching job at Alabama:

Nov. 27:
Saban: "When I was in college it was always about coming to the pros. This is the challenge I wanted. I had a good college job. Why would I have left that if I was going to be interested in other college jobs?

"I took this as a challenge. We certainly haven't seen this through and gotten where we want to go and finished the job here, so why would I be interested in something else?"

Well folks that's it, end thread. Who's next?

Dec. 5:
Dolphins owner Wayne Huizenga (after giving Saban a vote of confidence): "I am completely sold on Nick Saban. I would admit we made a mistake if we did make a mistake, but I firmly believe in Nick Saban."

You Sabanites are crazy, he's not coming here.

Dec. 7:
Saban: "I'm flattered that they may have been interested in me, but it never really progressed, because we just never let it progress."

How many times does he have to deny it, Saban is not coming!

Dec. 21:
Saban: "I guess I have to say it. I'm not going to be the Alabama coach. ... I don't control what people say. I don't control what people put on dot-com or anything else. So I'm just telling you there's no significance, in my opinion, about this, about me, about any interest that I have in anything other than being the coach here."

Well there you have it folks, Saban is not coming here. You Sabanites are idiots.

Dec. 27:
Saban: "I'm just making a rule to never comment on something like that again because every time you comment on it, it just makes for another story. So I'm not going to comment on it five years from now, and I'm not going to comment on it next week."

Jan. 4:
Saban: "What I realized in the last two years is that we love college coaching because of the ability that it gives you to affect people, young people. ... If I knew that my heart was someplace else in what I wanted to do, I don't think it would be fair to the [Dolphins] organization if I stayed."

Boom?
