I totally believe Hargis. Totally. I know he is saying what I want to hear, but this man says he is putting his reputation on the line. He swears it is fact.

I want Hargis as the next AD, the guy has guts and that is something that we haven't had in that position for a little over a decade now.

Football pays the bills for EVERYBODY in the AD. What happens if you add 5 million in costs to an AD that I already running at a 4 million deficit and then fail to raise revenue?

It would be good for a year during the honeymoon, but of he didn't get wins... Well weve seen how that goes with our fans.

Fantasy: Finally this joke is put to rest. I wish the same cast of goofy characters would quit calling into the talk shows with their under-researched opinions on why we need Jon Gruden. If we were going to pay someone big dollars to coach, we needed to get a guy with proven, big game college experience. Not a guy that has never been a coordinator or head coach that was fired in the NFL. Or won a superbowl with dungee's players. Granted NFL wins are much harder to attain than college wins, but there isn't any evidence that would make someone that does their research believe Gruden would do a stand up job. It's another crapshoot just like DD. All this talk is based on emotion because the guy was a grad assitant here at UT.

Reality: If you are going to pay the big $$ you have to go for the proven college 'head' coaches that can recruit and DEVELOP their players. Not an ESPN analyst. A coach that can take a 3 star guy and make him into a 4 star guy by developing his body and teaching him fundamentals he didn't get in high school. IE: Meyer, Tressel, Patterson, Petersen, or Stoops.

Business 101. Don't hire the guy (Dooley/Gruden) in the mail room that has no practical experience to take over the CEO's spot. Just because he looks good, sounds good, and is witty, doesn't mean he can get the job done. Hire the guy with the experience in your field that has been successful and has a track record of growing the business.

Now let's move on to a real college football coaching candidate.

If Hart is mucking this deal up after the boosters have this set up for him, he is commiting suicide. I just can't see him bucking the big money. I wonder if he has a buy-out too?
