Official Jon Gruden Thread XIII

It is amazing how everyone is riding on the local media, they have been at least 2 days behind with every story....

Here is my theory...
Hart is letting certain things leak 2-3 days after they happen and pretending like they just happened to throw the media a curve. This "bad news" that is being reported is at least a week old and has since been resolved. But the local media is simply behind the 8 ball as usual. They are not blatantly misleading us, but simply think the out of date info is current. Hart is running this beautifully, when Gruden is announced he doesn't want a splash he wants a tsunami....

How do you know this for sure? I hope to god you're right! lol

HONOR THY VOLS...CHERISH THEM...

If he doesn't end up here I'll be the first to admit that my information was flawed with no reservation. Until then you'll just have to be happy trolling me.

The final chapter (or chapters) of this story has not been written yet IMO.

Basilio is on Knoxville radio with Hargis, who wrote the Chattanooga article. He says that he stands by his story 100% and his sources are impeccable. He says that Gruden absolutely wants to be the coach of the Vols, and it's on Hart and the University if it doesn't happen.

On Hargis story,
First post, been lurking since early on in this whole mess.

Has anyone thought of who Hagis' source could be. This source is trying to force Hart in doing the right thing? Thank God, someone needs to. Just a thought, could this source be connected to the Haslams? Haslam is a large name in Chattanooga. Sounds to me like Hargis has a back channel to the Haslams and that Haslams are using Hargis to force Hart's hand.

May be stupid but that is my theory.

I am about to get crucified, but in light of the post from Leonard little, the guy down the road coaching that gold and black school, coaches with a chip on his shoulder ready to kick the a$$ of anyone who steps up. The same with the a-hole, kiffin. I believe Gruden has this mindset as well. Is this attitude is a must for our next hire. Who else on the list fits this mold?

This is the Gruden thread. Take that Franklin crap to the Franklin thread that nobody's in.

WE WANT GRUDEN!!!!!

He says that he doesn't write these kind of stories unless he knows they are damn accurate. He will say it to Dave's hart's face.

i agree, there is still no official word from anyone - still have to wait and see. remember saben and meyer said they werent going to coach and then a few days later they were coaching

Question is where did the turn down of Arkansas job come from ..agent?..University?

No one has a cystal ball about where Tn will be in the championship for the future ...WE will survive if it is not Gruden....I want it to be Gruden That would be terrific but anyone who says that an entire program at UT depends on one man is delusional

SIAP :cray:

Jon Gruden is out of the mix for the Tennessee job. Added note: Tennessee is out of the mix for the SEC championship for yrs to come.

GO HARGIS. wow, I hope everyone is listening to this. He is totally blaming Hart if we don't get Gruden. He is absolutely certain his sources are impeccable.
