I can't believe there are still people on this thread that believe anything Hyams has to say. His reports have about the same weight as Rex Ryan "reporting" the Jets are going to win the Super Bowl. Once he's wrong the first 5 times, why listen a 6th???

Exactly. The only real wild card is the Billy Donavan factor. Heck...he coached in Orlando for 2 days, and then went back to Florida.

All that to say...either it is signed and we are being played (which is my stance) or Gruden has pulled the plug.

I think the AD has led a misinformation campaign for at least the last 3 weeks. I don't know why they would stop until the new coach is announced.

It is a shell game and it has been well played by both sides. 99% of the fan base is so confused and fed up they don't know which end is up.

With respect to Brent Hubbs' statement on Volquest.com, the proverbial fat lady has not begun to sing aye or nay with respect to Gruden. In other words, there is no press release confirming that Gruden is a no go; check out the utsports.com website ( UTSPORTS.COM - University of Tennessee Athletics ) for yourselves. If there is one thing you can take to the bank, it is that the University of Tennessee Athletic Department will NOT wind up with egg on its face by prematurely issuing a less than definitive press release, one later proven to be inaccurate.

Disappointing news for sure; this has certainly been an emotional rollercoaster for all of us that have passion in our hearts for the Vols. However, I for one would like to thank Boro and the other OG's for sharing the information that was conveyed to them. I know many of you will try to crucify them over such information, but they simply did what any of us on this board would do - they passed on the information that they were lucky enough to be given. We will likely never know exactly how the Gruden thing ended, but it is quite likely that the info given to the OG's was correct at one point or another, and things simply fell apart in the recent days. Thanks again, guys. Don't let those that choose to be negative affect your passion for the Vols.

Sadly this Gruden search has had me more up and down than a Yo-Yo.

I don't know what to believe anymore. I don't trust that the people I know with good souces have accurate enough info to believe them. I also don't trust that the usually reputable media outlets (Hubbs) sources are giving them true info. I also don't have any idea if any of the posters around here's sources have accurate info either.

There is literally no way to know anything unless you are Hart.

Might need to step away for the weekend.:blink:
