So according to Bleacher Report the say some station has Gruden removing himself from the candidacy for the Vols job. Please God tell me its not true!!!

Any students on here? Anybody close to campus?

Could be a good thing to paint the rock with a little friendly reminder to Dave Hart to not mess this up.

I still believe Gruden is coming. He wants to be here and the boosters want him here. The only way this falls through, however, is Dave Hart.

There needs to be a full court press on Hart. Just in case he is oblivious, he needs to know that we won't stand for him messing this up. Gruden is a once in a generation opportunity.

The rock:
"Dave Hart- Don't @#%* this up. Gruden is our choice"

I think all this disappointing news coming out right before the 30th is the UTAD's way of telling us it isnt happening.

I am at .0001% that there will be a news conference today and very very discouraged that Gruden is coming to UT.

I wont give up hope, but it looks like the Gruden dream is in a vegetative state with very little chance of ever waking up. Soon I fear it will be taken off life support.

Sucks.

Basically...Travis did not renew his tickets a while back and has not been donating money for a while... He was telling Ainge that he received an email from the UT fund group that they would like to visit him on Tuesday. They speculated that this means they would be visiting because a coach has been named and they are looking to get Travis to renew... Travis was saying why would they want to visit me if they have not named a coach. They were just speculating...

I think Hart is screwed if no Gruden. May not be his fault, but he will be fried.

If Gruden is not going to take he job, this circus is destroying any chance of us landing another big fish. Think about it, would you want to come in and disappoint the fan base. Hart has to hire Gruden

And if Gruden isn't hired, then Hart will always be perceived as the person that kept Gruden from coming to UT and leading them back to prominence..

That being said,I'm still confident this will get done.Period.

Hubbs and all reporters still think the AD loves them...If you are reporter worth 2 lumps, you will lurk all day around the campus. He could announce 30 minutes prior and the room would be full of media members. Hubbs thinks there is a rule for everything, and he is wrong...

I've believed you since day 1 and still do. I can say with high confidence that its too late in the day to announce a presser for the same day.

What day does Gruden usually fly into the MNF host city? Friday or Saturday?
