If Gruden truly wants to get back into coaching this is his best option. If he was as highly touted in the NFL he would be with the Rams, Cowboys, Seahawks, 49ers, Titans, or Browns by now.

Basically,

Hargis is saying that IF Gruden is not the Coach, it's because Hart didn't pony up the money for Assistant coaches.

Period.

Nah I'm saying when you only post negativity and aren't around otherwise you come across looking like a troll. I'm not saying that to Bruin. He's here good or bad. Also it's fine to be skeptical like many are but if you're going to play whack-a-mole and pop up only when news is bad prepare to be hit.

So many conflicting reports out there. One saying money is the issue, one saying control is the issue, and one saying UT won't allow money to be a factor. This thing is getting out of control.

Hart is either playing this out to the end and looking to be a hero or is a total idiot

To add to what I was told:: gruden was offered anything and everything but the bottom line was he didn't want to be our coach.

Maybe gruden is the bad guy here!!

One of his sources came from someone that would be on grudens staff. Will find out if tennessee is ready to return to big boy football. None of sources are the university. If gruden is not next coach, ut screwed it up.

This conspiracy theory bull**** gets old. How does this hypothetical scenario benefit anyone? Why would everyone involved be willing to play silly little games just to make Hart look like a hero?

Do you think the reason the story was leaked last night about the offer was so they and the fans can finally move on from Gruden? I always thought that in some way the AD will have to address the Gruden rumors (if not him) as soon as possible, because if you don't you are doing a great disadvantage to your new hire.

I mean when I read the article my first thought was 'Yes today could be the day!', but my second thought was this is a leak so they can finally put this to rest.

...personally, all I think is...SOMEONE for the AD is now forced to say SOMETHING today.

If they don't, they are gonna look like idiots IMO
