So was it ever confirmed that Ron Zook was texted yesterday morning at 3:15 to come to Tampa? I heard somewhere that he talked about it on a radio show. If so that could help add some backing to all this.

Dave Hart isn't an idiot.

No but he can be a petulant child if he doesn't get his way. Look at his history.

This simple creed has served me well for nearly 41 years:

My hatred of them is pure, intense, and eternal. I've never liked Hart. He was brought in as a hatchet man to do the dirty work of the Woemen's AD stuff because he has a lot of ass in him. He did it. No UT legend is associated with that. He's tried to buck the boosters and the fans over ego. His usefulness may we have run out. Good riddance bammer. Bring on David Blackburn. That guy is a genius for keeping us from getting a failure to monitor violation. Plus, he's a damn fine man.

I wonder if Hart is following conventional wisdom of not making an official offer unless you know it will be accepted, while boosters want to follow recent Arkansas strategy of putting your best offer on the table? The issue may be extending the offer, not who wants which coach.
