Really excited about the latest development, but I sense this roller coaster ride is not over yet. I still don't think we hire anyone before mid to late next week, and anyone who's followed this thing knows it will probably rise and fall a couple of hundred times by then. I'm cautiously hoping at this point.

I fully expect this, especially with the AD as it currently is. It may be close to done, but "done" has apparently become subjective.

I think this deal has been a major Hart and booster scheme for months. I think that when things finally started going down, Hart realized he was playing with the big boys now and might have gotten cold feet.

In the end thought, Hart should be commended. Even if it wasn't entirely his doing, he was a key role and has let it happen.

I think what started this discussion on Hart was a report from Brice on TOS saying Hart might resign if Gruden was hired.

Hart would never give it up anyway. The control Gruden would have would be in his head. He knows he HAS to have oversight for NCAA reasons, and the fact he can't screw up while we are on probation. The control thing is overblown.

Bingo on the bolted part . . . but it's definitely more than an ego move by Gruden.
