Being reported on 247 that the holdup is due to Gruden's salary demands. Kevin Ryan reporting Gruden is demanding a salary high than Saban's.

People often forget that Hart saw first hand at Bama what a great coach can do for a program.

Alabama went from zero to hero overnight with Saban.

When you have a program like Bama, Tennessee, Michigan, OSU, USC, Texas, Florida - all it takes is a great head coach and things can be gangbusters almost immediately.

Pay the man and then you get paid by millions of fans.

I agree with the first part.
I agree with the second part on UTs end. They would have announced it 30 mins after Dooley was fired if they could have. I have never once believed that UT was in total control of the announcement time tho.

That would then beg the question, what is holding it back? Im not gonna begin to try an nail down a good answer for that. I don't know.

It's not the media room as most have said. It's the locker room. No one knows how long it has been set up that way and for what reason. We had a home game saturday, so I would suspect it was after that.

Folks, let's be patient, it took Bama from the last week of November until the first week in January to land Saban. You won't a big time "winner", we are going to have to fight it out. The longer this goes (without Gruden becoming either an NFL Head Coach or getting an extension from ESPN), the better we are. Still 100% Gruden

The only "money concern" I have heard that sounds credible to me is that UT may have balked at the money desired for assistants. It sounds like boosters are ready to put up the money for a top tier HC.

Had a conversation with a Bama friend of mine addressing their experience and how parallel it is to ours. It's as close to being a carbon copy as anything...how's that for irony?

Unless Kevin Ryan is either (1) actively involved in the negotiations himself or (2) quoting Dave Hart or some other credible source, then ignore what he is saying. Because, how the he!! would he know? Through the janitor at the AD, who heard it while sitting in a bathroom stall, next to goodness knows who?

These media guys don't know anything more than we do. They are grasping at straws for any little scoop they can.
