Interesting that they aren't listing the man with the most buzz. Gruden is not the only man to deny being offered the job. Golden has too, yet he's there.

FYI... I can't find odds anywhere out here or I'd be laying bets.

Probably off shore odds (that claim to be Vegas if they have an office here also)

I have seen this post more than once, so I decided to reply (and I accidentally liked it, lol):

It could be that their Tampa home sunk in value with the crash, and they didn't want to move and take a loss, when they didn't need to live anywhere in particular for Gruden to work for ESPN and MNF. It could also be that they anticipated Jon eventually returning to coaching, so they didn't want to move, only to move again in a few years. Or, maybe they just really love Tampa. We don't know.

More smoke of getting Gruden than not. And integrity that Hart mentioned eliminates Petrino in a big way.

Well, integrity is the whole reason I was against him coming, but when names like Butch Davis, Butch Jones, Al Golden, and Sonny Dykes start popping up, I'm totally willing to compromise. I agree that Hart's statement suggests it isn't Petrino, but who knows if he will hold to that statement.

It's pretty cool that the Grumors have made it all the way to St. Louis! Vols getting some local Midwest pub!!

Rick Venturi is not one of the guys that just spews stuff out. In fact, he's pretty bad on the radio. If he wasn't pretty well respected as a football guy, I can't imagine why they'd have him on the air.

He does know a lot of peopl and attracts a lot of high-profile guests to that show. I believe everything he says about Gruden and Tennessee.

BTW, all I really care about is getting a coach that can beat Mizzou!!! :cray:
