Official Jon Gruden Thread XII

This writer for WREG says that Jim Haslam (Father Haslam) owns the Browns (wrong) and is offering Gruden some ownership in the Browns as an enticement to sign with UT. Sounds legit.

Accurate info is overrated, as long as it's positive!

Not understanding what gribble is trying to say?

@Josh_Ward: RT @Andrew_Gribble "Sorry, Jon, we actually can't offer you partial ownership of the Browns. But have you met our friend, The Sunsphere?"

it is brewing...

Actually it does not say that. It says "Jimmy Haslam the third, the son of Jim Haslam and brother of the governor"

Someone was saying on another board that this station was the first to break Lane, Monte, and Ogre to UT back in the Kiffin hire first came out. Dunno if true.

Lane Kiffin agent = Jimmy Sexton.

Jimmy Sexton = Located and lives in Memphis...

Case closed on that one.

However, John Gruden's agent is NOT Jimmy Sexton, so this story breaking in Memphis is more shocking and could be considered less credible IMO. Unless Sexton is leaking this having some knowledge of the Gruden situation in attempt to push Hart's hand in hopes of getting his guy (Jimbo Fisher) in at UT.

There's so much grey area at this point who really knows? My guess is a handful of people at best. Hope all is true about Gruden I would love to see Chucky on the sidelines next fall wearing orange, but Jimbo wouldn't be a terrible plan B.

Good News...

The thing that bothers me about the memphis report is the part about : The NFL is looking into the potential conflict of owning a share of one team while getting money from another before the deal goes forward.

That screams Chris Mortenson(sp?) or Adam Schefter...those guys would be all over this imo.

As said earlier, the box is open and it has to be addressed now, so good news.

While I'm hopeful...this story out of Memphis sounds fishy...and I still do not trust Hart to do the right thing...part of me still believe he will f this up big time...do not trust the guy at all!

Not questioning you, but just wondering why you think that? Almost everything I've heard about him since he was hired has been good.
