Hart has to know if he screws up, he is screwed. I would have liked to have had Gruden announced already but it isn't that simple. As we were advised early on, there are a lot of things that have to be tied up. Hiring a Jon Gruden is not quite as simple as say a Jimbo Fisher. We just have to be patient.

Also, the OGs have provided us with a lot of information. They have not changed their stance on Gruden. There is no need to be critical of them as some have. I don't get the criticism because they gave us information the media didn't have or couldn't report. Now some want to take frustrations out because they don't like the media reports or things are not moving faster. I don't personally know the OGs but I believe they are shooting straight since nothing has discredited anything they have said.

I have already mentioned my profession, plus I am family with a former player and one of my son's friends, is a current UT football player. My son who I used to coach up until high school, is a current starter on the Powell High football team. I also know sports media guys in the area that are in the same circles as well. What I do for a living is the biggest source of info though.

If it's going down Fri wouldn't the presser announcement have to come prior to Fri? They want bang for the buck, so ESPN needs to be noticed in advance to get a crew to cover, all media outlets etc. That's kind of a normal thing right?

Holy cow, the rumors have gotten out of hand. It's absolutely amazing how everyone has a source come out of the wood works during coaching searches.

Yo, I would edit your post without the name you used. As someone who knows him I bet he wouldn't appreciate you using his name. Its not any breaking news that we aren't all saying, just don't risk his job using his name. IMHO

Something came to mind this evening: what is the downside to believing?

I think a lot of people in the Volnation don't allow themselves to have hope. And maybe rightly so. Hell, what has hope gotten us lately.

Personally, I am over the "I'll believe it when I see it" state of mind. Don't have any sources, don't play poker with Haslam - nada. If there was a contract in front of me with Gruden's signature on it, that wouldn't take any faith.

I believe.

(And can I get an AMEN!?)
