I really can not say very much or I could possibly get fired. I can say they are all UT supporters, no media, and all go very high up. It will be discussed at lunch , I am sure of it. I will post what I can, but everything I have been hearing in the past week is very very good for the VOLS. I will try to bring it up at lunch , but if I get a bad look, I will drop it immediately. Got 45 mins or so till anything will be talked about. Just catching up on today

If you get a bad look tell them you won't bring the dessert. J/k!

I just got a text from a friend who has no affiliation with UT. The text reads, "Do not trust any texts from friends until a HC is named". This friend is typically in the know and I trust him completely.

Why would Gruden give two sh*ts what DD thinks? As for the day before the SECCG? I guess that could make sense although to me if you announce today Gruden can start recruiting today. The earlier the better in my opinion.

Gruden loves the game of football and cares about his reputation. Coaches don't like to be seen as negotiating for other coaches' jobs.

Lunch meeting moved back half hour.

Because Gruden wants it to look like he was hired AFTER DD was fired.

I also heard somewhere else (not sure if true) that Gruden is owed 1 more payment from Tampa Bay which is due on the 29th. Why not get that last payment before you start your new job. Plus he probably gave ESPN some notice. Just speculating on that one.

May I ask why?

Because people (most not all) will see the 5/5:30 end of business day time and will be sad nothing leaked today. The evening will be a more negative spin here through mid-morning. Then something will be posted, said, media'd, etc and we'll get pumped again.
