Received a text saying:

A player texted me saying they were printing Gruden nameplates in the office.

A player texted you or you had a friend text you that he received a text from a player that said this? I only believe if it goes 1 level deep.

No offense to OCI, but after the "Three Amigos" ordeal, I take everything he says with a grain of salt.

You guys should lay off OCI about that..he went out on a limb to say that; however, we signed Sentimore; Jacobs was already committed to us when he posted that and flipped to Gators on signing day; and even Skeeter said that Autry was a lock on the board and something happened in last 48 hrs before signing day w/ Miss St. If you followed the news a few months ago w/ the whole Devinner ordeal and his info given to the NCAA, apparently Autry's name was one given that may have received improper benefits. So, just saying that if you follow recruiting closely, it appears that we did have all 3 of them leading up to signing day.

Come on I want gruden as bad as anybody, but no way that is true. The players won't know who the coach is until just before they are announced. I spoke with someone in the ad again today and he simply said "everything is quiet around here".

The Friday thing is not certain some have said it probably will happen on friday If it does it will be all the media will talk about during the SECCG weekend which will mean a whole lot of positive publicity for U.T. which is a good thing.

Why would Gruden give two sh*ts what DD thinks? As for the day before the SECCG? I guess that could make sense although to me if you announce today Gruden can start recruiting today. The earlier the better in my opinion.

I just got a text from a friend who has no affiliation with UT. The text reads, "Do not trust any texts from friends until a HC is named". This friend is typically in the know and I trust him completely.

Yep. Friday makes the most since. Good splash for recruiting and publicity. We will be relevant again over night.

Friday would be an extremely smart move, because the SEC championship is Saturday, recruits will be watching, and they would surely talk about Tennessee getting Gruden.
