I'm sorry I thought this was a discussion thread, I didn't realize it was for people who 100% convinced he was coming. I figured it was a place adults (which you apparently aren't) could come and have debates on the subject. And ain't no ***** over here tough guy, I promise you that.

Actually heard it might be Monday next but Friday works better for me.

Hold up Slice, can i get some clarification here?

You mean Monday as in today? Or the 3rd?

And by next Friday do you mean the 30th? Or the 7th?

Just asking because to me, next Fri would be the 7th and this Fri would be the 30th. Maybe i'm just goofy.

It's a mixture of 1) Gruden getting his final payout from TB and 2) college recruiting season getting back to full swing and 3)SECCG to maximize a media blitz

I think the final payout from tb is a big factor in his waiting to take a job until this year

Or yes, he is a good coach. But he don't strike me as the kind of guy who would walk away from a job after one year. You have to be a bit sleazy to at least not stay two years. Especially at a situation as delicate as penn state right now. He has done a good job this year. I think he would be great. However I don't think the timing is right on this go around. Imho

I would be very intrigue by this guy. Leaving after 1 year might be easier if he believes he was misled in any way during his hiring regarding the scandal there.

Bill O'Brien said:
Today we receive a very harsh penalty from the NCAA and as head coach of the Nittany Lions football program, I will do everything in my power to not only comply, but help guide the University forward to become a national leader in ethics, compliance and operational excellence. I knew when I accepted the position that there would be tough times ahead. But I am committed for the long term to Penn State and our student athletes.

I was then and I remain convinced that our student athletes are the best in the country. I could not be more proud to lead this team and these courageous and humble young men into the upcoming 2012 season. Together we are committed to building a better athletic program and university.

Plus, he had an automatic clause in his contract that he got an additional year for each year of the sanction. I think he planned on sticking around awhile.

except All of the stuff you are wanting to argue ha S's been discussed in this thread weeks ago. You have not bothered to read the previous Gruden Threads and you are making an a** out of yourself. That is the problem. Go spend some time reading starting with Gruden IV then come back with any arguments or questions you have.

So because I don't think he's coming, I'm making an @ss out of myself? Ok buddy.
