Did anyone see this on Gary Haskews FB page? His statement is under the Tyler Cooper post

State law..job has to be posted 14 days and so many interviews with a minority being among them....puts any hiring on hold till Dec 1

I hope this wasn't the phone call he was waiting on last night. SMH:pilot:

Link not from VN?

You funny.......and yes, generally with something like this, it has been twittered or facebooked or emailed or phone called within 5 minutes of it happening. I fully believe that if Gruden's agent had signed something definite, that it would be on the street through a better source than any of our resident insiders.

Also, what I was asking him about, is did he have any links to where Gruden said personally that he wants to be at UT? The answer is obviously a resounding NO. He only has his opine and all of the VN insiders telling him what he wants to hear. Go drink some more Groolaide. Hopefully he will be here, doubtful if he is.

Just for you...keep trying...

"I've been consistent with this situation on Gruden. Yes. UT made a run at him in the past several months. And yes they talked it out. And yes, he's interested in the job. In fact, sources tell me that Gruden has softened his demands twice in the past couple of weeks. So, I don't believe this is about Gruden not wanting the job. Right now, I believe this is about UT wanting to see what else is out there."

The Tony Basilio Show

I firmly believe Gill was blown out a year too soon at Kansas. One more year might have bought him another one. Kansas saw Weiss as a recognizable name and knew they could get him so trashed the Gill plan after only 2 years.

I do too, in regards to Gill. However, I don't think the Vol fans would be patient waiting on Golden to turn around the program. Gruden, on the other hand, would get the benefit of the doubt because of who he is if it takes a year or so.

" Here's what i DO KNOW in regards to Gruden to UT rumors
Gruden was in Knoxville this past week and interviewed with some of the board from CAK (Knoxville Catholic). Don't want to give my source away but will say it's been confirmed. What i also heard was the amount of money JG is asking is the huge issue. $5 Mil for himself and another $5 mil for staff. It sounds as if he is trying to sway an NFL staff wherever he selects to coach. His kid REALLY wants to go to CAK. If there was no interest in UT i would find it hard to believe he would have did the Catholic school interview. That board member that sat in on the interview just happens to be one of my coaches and the father of one of my FBU Team Tennessee players.

I can confirm CAK and Knox Catholic are not the same school.

We can't say this enough:

Leave his family out of this!

So correct me if I'm wrong. Strong, Golden and Fisher have all said they are "committed" to their schools? So only Gruden (ESPN said he was committed not Jon) and Stoops are the only candidates who haven't publicly stated their stance?
