No offense at all...but the reason you're getting flamed is because there are over 100,000 posts about this exact secret you have presented here...covering the rumors from the beginning.

An you decided to come over here and make a special announcement in front of a podium.

You probably should've dumped this into the JGX thread and it would've been better received...although your post count probably would've gained you troll status anyway, because it makes you look like an attention getter.

No offense, I'm just explaining the etiquette to you.

Well all of this can't be true. It was a done deal three weeks ago, contract is already signed and shhh, don't tell anyone but he's already working in the AD (Hart doesn't know), even calling recruits. Smh

Look at Boro and some of the other guys that said the Lid was gonna blow wide open soon...this DOES MAKE SENSE...they are starting to talk...

And more, the offer may have indeed been sent to Gruden...after the money guys lined up all that Gruden needed and told Hart to draft it and send it to him...it could be as simple as that.

Just wanted to say thanks for reporting what you know. I think most people like myself are just being cautiously optimistic. I'm sure you realize how easy it would be to get burned on here with false info. I hope you are right and ut doesn't try to low ball him.

Sorry for not responding,

I am very close to the Tennessee Vols football program. My family, I don't need to get certain information I can assure you that around thanksgiving people are talking and it's sssshed around the table...

Howeve I am not in Kxoxville now. In fact i'm not even in the state. I'm up north right now with family and my source is not a media, or a football admin but someone that is very high up in tenn football.

This source and I are going to the Grey Cup in canada this week and what I have been hearing (not being told directly) is that

Jon Gruden told the Vols that he will let them know over Thanksgiving weekend.....


I can also tell you that I have oveheard coversations that there has been ZERO communication with any other coach and if this does not happen i'm hearing ''we have a long road'', and on and on ''then we will have to really get working''.... this is a 1 and done situation that UT is going all in for Gruden.


I can also tell you that i've heard ''what a great thing for Jon that if we announce it soon then he has a national stage(mnf) to sell UT football''

I am not going to say anything more until I hear anything...

But Jon Gruden and Tennessee football right now is very close tp happening..... we should know either tomorrow, saturday or if anything people will know and they will announce it Tuesday/Wednesday....

I call bs!

#1. There's no way a network is going to pay one of the on air personalities to market themselves for a new job they're moving to, if Gruden signs he's off MNF then.
#2. There's no way Gruden is going to spend time doing all the production work necessary for MNF after he is committed to coach UT. He signs, he immediately begins consolidating staff & recruiting before the ink is dry.

I'm becoming convinced we'll hear an announcement very soon, not because I have inside sources or know any of the big boys calling the shots. I'm convinced we'll hear an announcement soon as the next coach & staff whoever they are will want to jump on recruiting asap. By early December lots of HS seniors are almost in the bag, somebody coming in as coach will need to move fast.
