Don't say it's a 100% done deal if you have no idea if it's happening. It creates false excitement. Like our fan base another let down...

I see your point and agree. I just think the situation can be handled better than making an announcement on the day of the game. That's just my opinion, though. I'm no television marketer.

I could see a Tuesday announcement (regardless of date) over a Saturday Sunday or even Monday with football game(s) going on. If ESPN is going to break it they are going to want to milk the ratings as much as possible. Probably follow up with an Exclusive type interview. Jmo

What if gruden still does MNF after the announcement. Wouldn't announcing him Monday during the day drive up ratings on Monday night??

IMO ESPN wouldn't want to take away from their game, plus all the Eagles speculation would die if he announced UT on MNF. More Philly folks may watch the toilet bowl Monday night looking for clues just as Volnation has for weeks. Jmo though
