I think it's about approval for spending money and support staff, too.
From time to time facilities are going to need things like new projectors for the film rooms, maybe iPads for the coaching staff.
He may want to hire his own film and IT staff and fund whatever he wants them to do. That might get expensive, what if they decide to create a drop-box like system for coaches to be able to access game film on those iPads. It might require server upgrades etc.
Those are things a former NFL coach might want, that a school that's already shelling out 9 mil/year in salaries doesn't want to spend for right away.
I'm just throwing ideas out there, but I think it probably has to do with authorization to spend money and make hiring/firing decisions.
Someone gets reality. It is hard to imagine the list and everything needed to be checked off and agreed to.
The "timeline" was moved up. Obligations and exits were held to a hopeful "time period" with the time to hammer out the most mundane and simple things needed to make this happen.
There probably will be a book written one day about this. This is big boy daytime soap opera here.
The earliest foundation seemed to be laid in the spring, and fortunately (it sucked but, darkest before the light my friends) for the poor performance provided by the team this year, aligned the stars and cosmos with enough fed up people with the means to make change.
Epic is tossed around here a lot and finally, the adjective applies to the situation.
