Tell me something. Why the hate for Dools? I mean he needs to go. I get that, but at least he tried, and the team does have a lot more talent than when he got here. Nobody else had the balls to try.

He got his opportunity to take a HUGE step up job wise. He has failed on every front. His hires are garbage (besides Graham, and Pittman). He recruits at a sub par level. Never beat a ranked team. He is garbage in my eyes. Oh yeah, lost to ky

Fulmer lost to freakin Tiger high and Wyoming and Vandy and you don't hate him. With teams with all-Americans.

Here's the thing with Fulmer. He won. Won big in fact. He would always beat atleast two of... Geogia, Bama, and lsu every year. He stunk at the end, but he kept us competitive year in and year out. I'm far from a Fulmerite, but he kicked ass here. I would love to shake his hand and tell him thanks for letting me witness a NCC while I was still alive.

Bandwagon fans witness a NCC every year. They root for whoever is close and great. Sometimes not even close. I love the Vols, and for him to allow me to witness a UT team win it all, I am forever grateful.

I get that, but Majors set him up for sucess. He did not have to do the dirty work Dooley has done. I know Dools has to go. he wasn't quite ready for prime time, but I wish you guys would give him more respect for trying. He has laid a good foundation somebody else can build on, and not wrecked the program farther.

I honestly see what you mean.

Hope you don't get mad, but I think he deserves nothing.

He took the job knowing he would make millions. I don't blame him

His coaching made me realize that this program was vulnerable, and that I wasn't watching a team that could ever be worse than mediocre.

He knows by now that he failed his expectations, and goals. I would respect him only if he resigned.

I'm not mad, but if you were him would you leave that money on the table? I wouldn't. He took a hard job, and worked hard to fix a lot more than just wins-losses. He is probably ruined now, and will probabaly have to work years in nowheresville to ever get another big-time shot. He will probably never get the chance to make that kind of money again, his reputation is shot. He had to know comin in, that as bad as the program had gotten there was real good chance he would fail no matter what, and still he had the balls to try.

It doesn't matter. The man negotiated the buyout and the University agreed to it. He is owed the money and should not feel bad in collecting it. It was and is a material term of the contract.

Just a little bummed this morning. If we do not get Gruden or someone like him I do not see much of a future for UT football. God forbid, if we keep dooley and sal, we are finished. With them I see us finishing around 12th in recruiting in the SEC and more years of futility and mediocrity ahead. and of all the names mentioned on VN as possible replacements, I do not see any that really excite me and who I feel could come and pick up our horrid recruiting this year. And that includes smart or strong. Just not felling very optimistic or encouraged any more.

I really hope the BOT meeting goes well for the Athletic Dept. so football decisions can be made instead of Cheek staying in the mix.
