Gruden isn't coming it's painfully obvious and has been. Why not announce something or can Dooley by now and inject some excitement into a dead fanbase. Hart is selling Dooley to the university and Sal will be the scapegoat. Unless Dooley has a bad loss out of these last 4. In that case from everything I've seen and heard look for Bobby Petrino and Jessica Dorrell to be on their way to Knoxville. Book it. Maybe not Dorrell but you get the picture.
Alot of the gruden talk has taken a back seat because some say he is not coming while others say he is still coming. Likewise, today a lot has come out about the interworkings of the AD/Cheek. There is a board of trustees(BOT) meeting this friday. Some key points on the agenda will have a huge impact on the university and ut athletics. From what was said today I gather that UTAD could become separate from the University like GA and FL. This would be a great thing because AD would have full control over UTAD affairs. As of right now Cheek the chancellor has control and with him are more stringent addmissions requirements. Said requirements have been addressed by complaining or blanket statements by our past three coaches Fulmer, Kiffn, and Dooley. Gruden wants to have full control and this needs to get done for him to come. So who knows?Others could tell you more than i probaly can
a light just flashed in this empty head of mine. If this is passed at the meeting, i can say GRUDEN will be the next coach. Why else call the meeting?
It's being overblown. The amendment of the UT-UTFI affiliation and services agreement to change the reporting line for athletics departments personnel at UT Knoxville will resolve most of the athletic concerns because it will provide the UTAD the funds/power needed to make its own decisions.
