I am in the extreme minority with this one, but I like Petrino just based on his coaching ability. Not a great person, I admit...

His offenses are unreal. Needs a good DC to do anything for real though.

Plus, that Tubberville thing is just too much for me. Pretty big backstab for a guy that was trying to be a friend to you.

Seeing that Stoerner fumble is always bittersweet for me. No doubt it's one of the greatest plays in UT history, but whenever I see it now it always reminds me first of Brandon Burlsworth, who was blocking Billy Ratliff and tripped Stoerner up. Not long after our triumph in the desert Burlsworth got killed in a car accident, and from everything I read he was a really, really good guy. I know he's not the first ex-player to pass not long after his playing career ended (we've had a few ourselves), but I guess I had a soft spot for a big soft spoken guy with Clark Kent glasses. RIP BB.

Gonna de-lurk again...I have always thought everything fell into place that year...Tee did great, yeah, but things happened just perfectly for us to win the first ever BCS game...this fumble was one of them...thanks to Clint...

The team that sticks in my mind is the 85 Vols...oh, what a year...will never forget Dale Jones tipped and intercepted a pass in the Bama game...Tony went down...thought our year was done...Dickey stepped in...boy, did he ever...

The "Vinnie Who?" buttons sold like crazy in New Orleans...I was just a senior gal at UT and naive as hell...Bourbon Street...holy moly...our seats were on the second tier...we got a really good look at Chris White #7 sprawled out in the end zone after returning an INT for a TD...85 Vols...best team IMO...

Side note: my parents went to Hawaii to Dale Jones' wedding on the beach...they were in the Chattanooga Booster Club at the time...they got to know Dale's sister a bit, hence, the invitation...
