A buddy called me and said the following is solid. He has had no info, hunches or speculation to this point and is a very cautious type - obviously he doesn't post on here.

Gruden announcement on Saturday...8 years, $50 million...11 kids have been targeted and JG will personally visit them immediately. Ergen was the one that made it happen.

He said he has sat on sidelines and would not forward this info unless he were sure it is 100% solid.

that's what I read, too. He has land 40 miles from Neyland, and some think that's too far to drive. I have to disagree. When you live in the country, 40 miles is nothing.

Please explain to me...if Gruden wants 51 million for 8 years, that is 6.375 million a year, and wants to hire Raheem Morris for 1.5 million per year and hire Chad Morris for 1.5 million a year...that is 9.375 million just going to 3 coaches.

Now the "insiders" say big boosters have agreed to pay 9 million for next coaching staff...

EXPLAIN to me how the other coaches are to be paid OR are we just going to have 3 coaches...

I don't know and I am not in the financing department. I don't care how they pay for it. They have the money, so let them figure it out.

Probably but I'm sure a guy like him would move for the right money. They all see what staying in one place does for you. Over time things grow stale if you aren't winning NC's.

According to 247, it's not just about money. That's a big part of it, but his demands are pretty steep too, regarding overhead (only wants to report to 1 person), and wants $4-5M for his assistants.

I'd be all in favor of the Grude, I just don't see it happening.
