Dave Hart at the presser

Ladies and Gentlemen and all Vol fans watching, I would like to take this time to introduce our new Head Football Coach on Rocky Top...Jon Gruden

To which the rest of the SEC will say "Holy crap. Shiz just got real in K-Ville!"

Not good.

This is probably a stupid question....you in Lexington?

I have 7 UK grads on my moms side of the family. They all live in Lexington, Grant County, or Northern Ky.

I'm the blacksheep. Thanksgiving is always fun.

I'm in Lex (technically Versailles- 6 miles from the Lex airport). I've loved it here.

Im afraid you have your pick of seats....and Troy scares me. They match up well with our weaknesses and they have some talent.

Ended up with 11 tickets and 2 parking passes lol, all free.

I hope we win, it's my sons first game in Neyland and he is getting to meet some players after the game and a loss would most likely screw that up.

I expect over 100 total points scored.

To quote our Bush this is where strategery comes into play. Dooley is the red herring right now. Some still doubting if he even goes. Hart is playing the media like a Stradivarius.

My Dad is totally against Gruden...says he is unproven at the college level and we are making a huge mistake if we hire him.

He said the same thing about Kiffin so I don't really have any ammunition to tell him he is wrong.

SMH.

I don't think he was going out of his way when he made the reference about the 49'ers. Most people equate Bama as being a tough, physical and fundamentally sound team. Is that not the mindset that Harbaugh (sp) has brought to the niners?

I honestly think you are reading way to much into that statement Bruin.[/QUOTE
Do you think Hubb's mentioning Hart was letting the season play out and if he wins out will try to sell that is just a smokescreen? He did seem to throw out hints about the staff having UT ties.

Hubbs says at 7-5 Hart will be 50-50 on firing Dooley or bringing him back. He said Dooley's fate has 100% not been decided even though many power boosters are ready to see him go.

He added this below that makes me very excite about the Gruden possibilities though.

That is the second or third time Hubbs has mentioned Gruden putting together a staff so far. IF he is already mentioning details about the potential Gruden staff it shows me that this is very, very real and there are just going to have to be the final nail put in Dooley and the boosters following through with the $$$ to make it happen.

Hubbs already knows, he's just not going to say anything else at this point.

Kiffin? He's a good coach, IMO

You just now signed up, and chose the username CJ2K? Interesting...

Shouldve gone with CJ1.2K, but anyway, welcome to the board. Are you an alter?

He'll forever be CJ2K in my book

I am a realist of sorts and simply do not see Jon Gruden coming here under any circumstances. With all the problems this program has had lately I will believe good things when I see good things.

I, like most of VN, am trying to keep up with the latest gossip on the coaching search, but it seems this Hubbs guy changes his story or level of certainty on a daily basis. Objectively, he appears to be a smokescreen for Hart/Ath Dept.
