It's almost like Dooley was brought in to "clean up" the mess from Kiffin and to make the job more enticing to someone like JG, IMO. If so, why the big buyout?

Just a thought.

seriously though..my son went undefeated and won the greene county championship a few weeks back..there is no better feeling than seeing you son play football so i understand how ya feel....here is to the future vols...!!!

Quite frankly could totally see the AD having a guy build up a reputation on this site to use it as there advantage. I mean if one guysays something we are sold. IM telling you right now if skeeter said gru to ut people would go a wall. Including me. I'm on the fence ATP.


I know you guys are credible but there are so many variables in this deal. I think with everything going on with the mou no official offer from the university is on the table. Maybe the offer from a booster is on the table.

I hope he is coming but I have doubts too much time for it to fall through.

I share some of your skepticism but I'm on board the Gruden train until the wheels come off. I think there's no doubt that Dooley is gone. I wish I was as certain about Gruden being his replacement though, especially when some NFL jobs become available soon.

Until there is a signed contract, he's free to listen to other offers which is what really concerns me. (Since I don't have any "friend of a friend" or "insider" telling me the details of an agreement)

Read Tony's blog from this evening. He is backing off reporting this stuff for awhile he said. Brought on too much drama for him reporting that today.

Hamilton always got Sextoned up...think about it, Fulmer was here for...a long time and got 6 Mil...Now we gotta pay the doolinator $5 mil for 3 years of service. Hamilton oh Hamilton.

I am on board with Gruden until orange slice (or someone else with info like him) tells us differently. All stories seem to line up and that can't be a bad sign.... :loco:

Because I have been saying all along that a plan is unfolding with Jon Gruden (or other top targets) behind the scenes. And, guess what? It still is. Gruden is still very much in play.
