Of course, with Gruden's current job, he can choose to live anywhere. However, if he wants to get back into coaching, I would wager that Mrs. Cindy Gruden will be much happier with his legendary 18 hours days if she is around family in Knoxville, than she would be in those lovely destination cities up north named Cleveland or Philadelphia. I don't see a Tennessee girl embracing that at all.

Im thinking a penthouse in downtown Knox, with telework connections.

Yeah I've experienced a few of those as well. I preached at both my grandma and grandpas funeral. I also lost my fatherinlaw who was a preacher that helped me along. Of all days he died though, he died Easter sunday. He was just 42.

Wow,sorry to hear that. The toughest for me was a sweet 8 year old girl from our church killed an car wreck 2 years ago, and in April a daughter of church member killed by husband in murder suicide. It is very difficult to process and comfort others, but I comfort them with truth, and I weep with them. God bless, sir.

That is definitely some good motivation. I feel like for the rest of my life every time I drink coffee, sweet tea, eat a satisfying meal, the craving will be there. But I gotta stop.....somehow.

When you wake up in the mornings and light one up, and the next thing you do is cough.......then you know its' time.

Ok, I'm calling it at 11:26 on Tuesday the 30th of October...JON GRUDEN will be the next coach of the University of Tennessee!

Much better than a flood and sharks circling around your porch. Hope those folks in the Northeast get things straightened out soon.

He couldn't make it worse

I agree. But I don't want to be left on the Petrino trail of tears in a few years. The guy could coach up his talent, but he averaged mid-thirties recruiting classes. In our league, that is good enough to be the 2nd or 3rd best team (assuming that he can coach them up the way he did at Arkansas). I think we are ready for a chance to be more than that with much less downside than he provides.

I say let Auburn have him. If any combination was bad for a program it is the Auburn boosters and a head coach with no morals. In a few years there might only be 13 teams left in the SEC if he goes there. Nail in the coffin, IMO.

It sucked but 4 years later....I feel so much better and after the 2nd year of not smoking I had to start a workout exercise program to get all the weight off where I quit. So 4 years later not smoked once and down 35 lbs. You can do it.

Dipped copenhagen for 14 yrs. As of today, i have been quit for 14 days, 13 hrs and 30 min. (but who is counting) :)

BOOOOOOOOMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!

This just in to SportsCenter,

Wilson27 of VN is saying JG to the Vols. More as details come in.

Apparently you've never been to NWA. I've lived in both places and would choose NWA over Knoxville 9 of our 10 times.

Knoxville is in a beautiful area, I just think NWA is better.

No, I'm not being partial either. :)

It gets better the closer you get to Virginia and NC.

LMFAO!!

Wow...you're not Alabama. Petrino is a Top 5 coach.

Get over it, Gruden is staying with MNF or the NFL.

Arkansas will hire Pete Carroll and Tennessee will hire Bobby Petrino.

God bless you too and I will pray for the healing of those two families. My wife was diagnosed with leukemia when she was four. She was told she was cancer free when she was 8. She was told she would never have children but we have our little girl! God is good!

Good for you man! That stuff is a beast to quit. People don't give it as much credit as smoking, but it provides more concentrated nicotine and is, in turn, harder to quit (I think).

I am one as well and was called at your age. My great aunt told me "ministry aint for sissies". she was right. You will endure many challenges (toughest part for me is the tragedies I have seen people go through and tried to help them through), but stay focused and stay faithful.

Sorry to get off topic

The toughest part:

You will be attacked and hurt by the people you care about most. You must do it as unto God, or not at all. You must love them because they are God's children, and not because of how they act. You must love them as He loves them.

Your family must agree to the same sacrifices that you do.

Or quit now.

(To the 21 yr old pastor, OIK, not you. I'm sure you have this down... :) )
