Official Jon Gruden Thread IV

I am going to state something from personal experience. If Gruden was, in fact, looking at houses in Knoxville with his wife, then you can pretty much chalk this up as a done deal unless Cheek ar Hart do something stupid (always a possibility, I know).

Here is why, and all of the married guys and gals can attest to it. When you get a local girl excited about moving home to be close to her family, you better be ready to follow it through to completion if you want a happy wife.

Quoted for the truth!

Southern girls typically are family girls. I know it from experience, too. I met and married my wife after I moved to Texas. And when I married her, I knew I was marrying Texas as well. It is all good.

Well said...my southern brown eyed girl is attached at the umbilical still...

Of course, with Gruden's current job, he can choose to live anywhere. However, if he wants to get back into coaching, I would wager that Mrs. Cindy Gruden will be much happier with his legendary 18 hours days if she is around family in Knoxville, than she would be in those lovely destination cities up north named Cleveland or Philadelphia. I don't see a Tennessee girl embracing that at all.

FWIW, I do believe her mother moved to South Mizzou...

Awesome! Here in the shadow of Buffalo and Roan Mountain, we got cold cold rain...

Much better than a flood and sharks circling around your porch. Hope those folks in the Northeast get things straightened out soon.

I am also a southern baptist preacher. I'm new to the ministry though. Im just 21.

I am one as well and was called at your age. My great aunt told me "ministry aint for sissies". she was right. You will endure many challenges (toughest part for me is the tragedies I have seen people go through and tried to help them through), but stay focused and stay faithful.

Sorry to get off topic

Yeah with all the UT talk I bet she is excited. Imagine Jon telling her "Honey u wanna go to Dallas, Cleveland, or Philly"?

Imagine the look he would get! Lol

I think that is solid reasoning...because I'm currently experiencing said scenario.

This is EXACTLY what led me back to Knoxville after college. Met my wife here. I rather enjoyed Clearwater too lol. This is home now, no other way to look at it.
