UT recruits nationally and Gruden wants an emphasis on plucking top talent from the West Coast. This is why Barry is a likely candidate for a big role on Gruden's staff. I'm slightly let down by the OCI issue, but not giving up.

Though I am new to this board, so take it as you like, this is what I know: (no links nor will I name my source)

1. A meeting is set with 2 large boosters and AD for Monday
2. There have been talks with a "BIG" name, but none given to me.

I have been a huge Gruden fan since the Raider days. I can only dream that he would be the "Big" name that was discussed.

I am not a Troll nor looking for a reputation on this board. Just passing on the info as I know it. I am extremely disappointed as a fan and alum in the current situation of the program and would love to see us were we should be as a SCE elite team.

With that said, I believe it was the response in recruiting of "Anything and everything" in response to the question "What did you say to get the Gruden thread so riled up".

I think a lot of people read into that as you admitting what you were saying was just to rile up this thread, when very possible you were saying "Everything riles up this thread" which is very true lol.

The "anything and everything" comment was in reference to people believing the sarcastic comment about Dooley getting Gruden's approval for the design of the football complex, which was so ludicrous I was amazed anyone thought I was being serious. I underestimated VN.

I coach high school and I have always believed that if they team is doing great, it's the players.....but if they team is doing bad, it's the coach. Praise in public, criticize in private. There is only one person that has the power to fix a problem and that is on me. Every high school that I have coached at was very clear in their expectations and they have all been successful.......or else. You know that as a coach.

One thing I've always got tired of hearing in Dooleys pressers, "we've just got to learn how to..." That's all he ever says, isn't it his job to teach them so they learn? Winners win and losers lose. he hasn't figured out how to win yet, he may be a good coach one day but he needs to go be a coordinator somewhere and learn a winning formula. Oh yea and learn how to make 2nd half adjustments
