There had been an informal offer before this "breaking: offer has been made" stuff you are bringing now.

I was told this was the initial offer. The 5 to 7 years averaging $5M annually that had been speculated on had never been extended prior to yesterday. Again, just what I was told, and the timing of it makes a lot of sense. The ugly loss to Alabama on Saturday with many former players and big-time boosters in attendance, reports leaking about Dooley Monday morning, and Dooley's demeanor during his press conference lead me to believe that major action was taken yesterday.

I say Gruden to Tennessee and Dooley to Kentucky 2012...We can trade Dooley to Kentucky for a couple of decent players. (they only have 2 or 3 so we would have to take what we can get)...

Yeah, that's true..I just wasn't gonna sit here and let him run down my friends like that.:cray:

I appreciate the effort. I know "you have our back" so to speak. However, I assure you his comments (or any other for that matter) blasting me has a much of an impact on me as adding a single drop of water to the oceans of the world.

110% agreed. I'll stop posting over here because I seem to do more harm than good.

#Gruden2013

Wasnt pointing you out specifically...just making a generalized statement...we all can agree that something needs to happen and happen NOW, we also have to understand that nothing is ever 100% solid and everybody is getting bits and pieces, trying to build a house...

You heard what you heard, others heard what they heard, and so far most of it ALL is correct to an extent.

Peace homies.

A little from his Blog:

What is Dave Hart's roll in all of this?

Very interesting question. He never had a role in this sort of thing at Florida State as Bobby Bowden was on cruise control during his tenure there. I've heard behind the scenes that Hart has been adamant about Tennessee getting into the 'football business'. Right now, the Vols are fielding a team with a coach who is competitively paid but not at the top of his game. I understand that Hart behind the scenes has been preparing UT's big $$$$ people for this day by pounding home the tremendous impact Nick Saban's presence and success has had on Bama's entire campus and coffers. Hart is going to be a driving force in UT swinging for the fences here.

You know one thing that gets me, It's not just running down players to motivate. By all accounts Justin Hunter is a model student and athelete. He has busted his tail here and everyone talking about a down year, he is in the top tier of the SEC in recieving still. And we know Bray has had some issues but the kid plays hard and is tough as nails. He took a lick vs. Miss. State when he hurt his knee and kept on playing. If Dooley would have managed these kids better who knows what the perception of them would be.

Also, the thing with Hunter is that he has a new baby. Why would a coach publicly say soemthing that could affect the guy's draft stock? Why say that? Let the scouts look at Hunter, dont give them ammo and mess with the kid's future. That bothers me.
