It is not as simple as a W/L record. Coaching in the NFL would take a different skill set, beyond the X's and O's. You can't directly correlate success in one with success in the other. No I am not saying Gruden cannot coach collegiate football. I think therein lies the challenge that would attract him.

Both have had losing seasons in the NFL. Neither have had losing in seasons in college.

Both have won championships in college. Neither have won championships in the NFL.

I take that back. They don't agree at all.

Throw Spurrier in there too.
