Our boosters bent over backwards to work out a deal. That's what happened. Ego woulda been destroyed in the SEC or any other P5 conference for that matter.He has absolutely no big time college experience. He'll get his cocky ass kicked in the NFL again too. BOOK IT DANO !!

PS: I hope AV comes and gives us the full scoop. My feelings were Gruden attempted to hijack UT's azz after Schiano deal. Wanted to match Jimbo's $7.5 mil per year. I have no doubt that UT got the best they could. We should get a good return on this deal.

My sources are saying that Jon Gruden is leaving MNF to become Governor of the State of Tennessee. You know he lived in Tennessee at one time and his wife is from here.

I woke up to the news this morning....I'm still trying to figure this out. Yes, twitter bloggers are reporting a Pruitt hire but none of the sports networks on my FB feed are reporting it. Also, Fulmer's picture was put up on UTSports.com well before his announcement, Pruitt's is not up. Are we sure this has happened?

I know everyone in this thread is disappointed, but I am willing to give him a chance. Is it the splash hire we all wanted, no, but I am willing to let it play out.

Why do you think he’s a disappointment when he hasn’t coached a game for TN yet? Give him a chance. For all we know he may do better than Gruden would have on the field other than being a splash name hire like gruden would have been. Let’s come together and give him a chance. Whether from Bama or Mars - doesn’t always hurt to take a little piece of the puzzle away from Bama either IMO

Who has confirmed this hire. I see people saying it happened, if so, it sure as hell hasn't hit google yet.
