That is a really tough question to answer right now and one that will most likely changed over time. Is it better than Schiano? MILES Better. Could we have done better without all of the self inflected wounds? Yes.

Really people? Call Beave what you will, reports were Here was considering the job. I happen to think the scorched Earth tactic Haslam and Currie used created collateral damage that high profile hires found untenable.

I think Beave served good purpose in print the stays quo in Knoxville on notice, that one man will no longer hold the football program hostage.

We have a hire with proven sustained results at the highest level possible. Due I have my reservations and wanted a home run but given the events of the last two weeks this was probably as good as it gets.

Edit: and I'm drunk at this point in the evening so I reserve the right to deny this post later!

To all the regulars, this has been an interesting and exciting 2 months. I know my wife will appreciate having me back. Not sure how I feel about the new hire. Not bailing, but not pledging blind allegiance yet. Beaver, thanks for the ride. It’s been great. From GV’s updates...preacher learning how to gif...diet regimens.....hamburger preferences....and all the other shenanigans that went on in here for the last close to 200,000 posts, I thank you! It’s been a ride.

To all the grandstanding, pompous, know-it-all, I told you so trolls that are getting off on gloating right now......For the last time...
