It is quite clear very few if any have sources on the situation but we are basing the entire premise off of sources who just as likely can/are as wrong as Jimmy may or may not be. The entire situation reeks of being made up or JG simply likes the attention and nothing more.

John Gruden is the new John Madden he will never coach again and just call Monday nite football games and I really don’t blame him. He has a sweet stress free and well paid gig.

Cheer up boys, tomorrow is game day, and Butch isn't the coach. for the first time in awhile I feel excited about the future of UT football.

Yeah, until the week of the Missouri game when he said next loss Butch will be fired.

Look, I'm not saying Hyams knows all. He did get the firing right though.

Even Currie, if too be believed, said he decided to fire Butch Saturday night.

So should we trust message board insiders who have been wrong about everything or Hyams who was at least right on one thing?

None of this really does make any sense.


Just a few days ago Jauan Jennings announced he was returning next season to the Vols. (He was either going pro or transferring per many sources)


Gruden goes live on radio talking about Rocky Top and rumors that Currie had a meeting with him in Tampa


Now ALL OF THE SUDDEN he turns us down. Holy **** I can't keep up any more man.

one thing that has stuck with me is Gruden has said many times he is sensitive to the current coaches and won't say or speculate anything so maybe if we WAS going to do it, he wouldn't announce it until after Vandy... however with the fan base going nuts... any info would be wise...

Indeed. The one guy I have always trusted in, just told me yesterday 50% Gruden but said he hears this from other boosters...

Said he can't get anything at all out of AD any more

I would love to be because I think his swagger would work well in college but this reeks of 2012. A handful of insiders claiming it is done, then it falls through at the last moment mysteriously. The boosters were committed to winning then as well we were told and money would not be an issue.
