Whoa, everyone needs to take a deep breath! Stand up, raise your hands to the sky and breathe in and out for 60 seconds. You can thank me later for that.

1. A lot of the information dto, boro and other people in the know have lined up with what I’ve heard. I’ve named names and the people who have shared this Info with me I’d trust with my first born.

2. As I said in my last post, the announcement was intended to be made after the year particularly during the sec championship. Due to the frenzy and leaks it could be around the Vandy game. It was definitely not intended to be before the first game for the interim coaches.

3. I’m surrounded by some wealthy people in chattanooga and when I am the language can be vulgar. Rich people speak direct, bluntly and crass at times. Beaver going off on someone who is not worth his time proves absolutely nothing.

4. These guys on twitter are trying to break anything first. Notice Trey Wallace has already said let’s wait until the morning after tweeting we were told no?

As Aaron Rodgers said.... R E L A X

Just want to back up #2. I was specifically told that there absolutely could not be an announcement before the LSU game, and even that is not an ideal situation for multiple reasons.

Trust Fund kids go to Harvard not MIT.

Brown Univ. as well or at least that's where my trust fund CEO and Chairman went. Funny part is he dropped out and he is probably one of the most successfully CEO's in the country and a genius. Don't believe me, google search Bradley S. Jacobs

I've always been of the opinion Gruden loves to be loved. He loves being speculated about. Loves his name being mentioned with every big job opening...which is why he is so slow to deny rumors. The way he is with Raider fans...after he was rumored to be on his way back there. He goes and slaps high fives with the black hole crowd...does a video pumping the team up etc. etc. It might explain the Rocky Top singing today. He doesn't want the job but wants us to still like him. Just my theory.

I still would take him as our coach in a minute...just sayin'.

That's nowhere near cool man. This is a simple business decision. His fellow students get it....why not you?

Lol let’s bring up my comment from earlier. I️ get it “man” but I️ guarantee you not everyone does. It’s not a foreign concept to think that someone would say something to the kid is it? I’m not even a student at the school it’s just common sense.

He has 9 followers and before his threat to “out” them was begging for more info on the situation. I’m not saying they’re not trolling, but I highly doubt this guy knows anything.

I investigated that a little bit. I'm no Twitter pro - and I'm not entirely ever certain what Twitter's purpose is - but the guy seemed downright venomous toward MIT_Beaver, and he claimed to be the son of a mid-tier corporate CEO though he spelled "capital" as it refers to money as "capitol" and his syntax demonstrated poor literacy. They guy has to be a sham.

Until I hear something to the contrary from John Currie's mouth, I say Gruden to the Hill.

ESPN contract and recruiting? There has to be a sticking point with all of it somewhere

Meh. I just can’t see him doing that now with his son being a student at UT.

Any other time I would probably think that too. But he’s not going to get his son hounded like that over his own ego. Can’t see that happening.

I think he’s coming. But he doesn’t want to announce until the season is all but over. Dudes been canned himself. I think he took getting fired extremely personal tbh. He’s probably letting hoke and the staff finish out respectfully while letting the seniors get their last little spotlight instead of jogging in at the last and stealing the show and the cameras from all them. They have been through helluva last three seasons, if he just ran up and took all the attention that would be like proposing at someone else’s wedding during their dance. Totally improper.

Just how I see things.

If UT’s expectations are just to beat Vandy, Mizz, and UK every year, then we’re in serious trouble.

Our fans deserve to be National Title Contenders again. Not beating our chest over 8-9 wins every year just because Mullen can’t beat the big boys of college football.

Exactly. I have said all along, the plan going into this coaching search should be to get a coach that can beat Bama. Tennessee should be focused on winning the SEC, not just the East. Outside of Gruden, the only other coach that I think would capable of doing that is Gary Patterson.

I'm full Grude though, and to be honest, I think the idea of building a dynasty and taking down Saban excites Gruden. He's an awfully competitive guy, and you couple that with Saban gaining in age and the succes he has already sustained, you have to think Saban won't be around much longer. Especially if Gruden and Kelly join the fold. He could be the one to rule the SEC for a decade if he chooses to come here, and I'm sure Gruden is aware of that.
