Again, Gruden wouldn’t string along our fanbase into thinking he was going to take the job. Gruden is a classy guy and would have debunked the Grumors himself in a respectful manner.

Way too much smoke going on just for him to say, “No” at the last minute. C’mon on now, this ain’t adding up and you’re naive to believe all the reports out there that are saying Gruden isn’t coming.

Until he says it himself, it’s still a possibility.

Like I've said, I've got nothing on timing but my own speculation. I think right now the opinion that matters is Gruden's, and I think he sincerely wants these coaches to have a chance to show potential employers that they are better than their former leader allowed them to be.

Understand that about Gruden. He's been fired, he knows how it feels. It sucks. Coaching is a fraternity and he wants them to be able to put their best foot forward. In my mind, this necessitates an announcement after Saturday sometime.

The problem is all the buzz. Blackburn, Hargis, and Brice have all turned the dial to 11. And the only way to turn it back down is to step on it hard. Which has happened tonight.

I got ya. I feel like this weekend either tomorrow or Sunday most likely. Sunday because that way the coaches have their game to show what they have (I hope they show out and we beat the hell out of LSWHO) Friday because of all the leaks and it will carry over all weekend and be the news of the college football world.

Unless the whole time he was counting on getting Gruden but it ended up not working and he's playing catch up. Time will tell.

If it is indeed not happening we should hear a lot of guys like hubbs, Brice, others that seem to be in-the-know, try to direct us to other coaches tomorrow. Until that time I'm thinking Gruden all the way just letting time pass to make the announcement I don't think you make the announcement now I think you have to make it after the LSU game or even after Vandy game.

Everyone is so ready to shoot down information they want to hear and believe the first negative that comes down the pipe....just hold on and stop consuming each other, I'll be as crushed as anyone I go toe to toe with Bama homers constantly and it's been too damn long listening to them crowing when 99% have zero ties to a whole other state much less attend school there, most of them didn't even make it through junior college or even know anyone that went to school there.....people, stop acting like that trash....if we swing and miss then it's on Gruden, at least this time I KNOW we were in the game let's see how it plays out before calling it quits.....SOON we will know for sure.

We'll grind it out with whomever Currie and the boosters come up with knowing we gave it our best shot.IF...IF...IF... he does say no he doesn't have the competitive spirit he leads people to believe he has. He's lost before and so has Saban and every dang coach that's ever amounted to anything paid their dues. Above all we can't let a Gruden "no" hinder our appreciation for UT's next HC.
