Yep...I jumped back on after a great night with some of the old college crew...doesn't take much. I have full faith that this hire will be great.

Here is what I'm sure of..Currie gave it a shot with Gruden I'm just not sure it was enough..he has a great easy job now and the Tampa HC position might open up soon..think it was a big uphill battle to persuade him to coach a college team.

Currie most def gave it a shot and I respect him for that.

Time will tell if he accepts or not, but as the one espn guy tweeted earlier Gruden needs to not play this little game and either publicly come out and saying no so the fans can move on and so Currie can go after guys like Patterson or any other good quality coach before those guys says a big F you

Like I've said, I've got nothing on timing but my own speculation. I think right now the opinion that matters is Gruden's, and I think he sincerely wants these coaches to have a chance to show potential employers that they are better than their former leader allowed them to be.

Understand that about Gruden. He's been fired, he knows how it feels. It sucks. Coaching is a fraternity and he wants them to be able to put their best foot forward. In my mind, this necessitates an announcement after Saturday sometime.

The problem is all the buzz. Blackburn, Hargis, and Brice have all turned the dial to 11. And the only way to turn it back down is to step on it hard. Which has happened tonight.
