Yep, that what Hyams is saying.

well that's quite the departure from towing the company line isn't it? not a good look for the state run radio station to put information out that makes the AD look like he didn't even attempt to get gruden, knowing how the fan base would react.....

Guys....this hurts worse than any breakup ever has. I WANT to believe....but man this latest stuff coming out isn't looking good...let me grab the bourbon I'll be back...

Florida about to announce Kelly, vetting his staff now. When that happens the East just got tougher than ever. We better get a big name that is a proven winner, or we will be forever hiring and firing.

Seems Gruden to UT has lost a little steam tonight, but could be everyone trying to slow down for a minute.

Regarding Kelly to Florida, not sure if true, but can you imagine the supersonic Chip Kelly hurry-up offense in the suffocating September/October Florida humidity? 80-snaps a game, “get out the way ref so we can go” offense in a 98 degree steambath?

There won’t be a defense in America that can still stand by the middle of the 3rd quarter.

The time has come for Gruden or Tennessee to either confirm or deny the rumors.

Every moment that it lingers hamstrings the next head coach's chance w/ this program

He’s damn right you know.

It’s Gruden and Currie’s timeline. Not yours, mine, or this dude’s.... They can take as long as they want.

Florida gets Kelly and we get someone we have to google. If Vols dont get Gruden then no point in doing a renovation.

College football is used to defending that offense now. Hold your horses.

Ok, two things that don’t add up...

Gruden has tremendous respect for the University of Tennessee. Why would he let all the media speculation go on for so long without giving any type of honest answer? If he was truly not interested in the job, he could have easily debunked all the rumors in a respectful manner. I just have a hard time believing Gruden would troll our fanbase into thinking he was coming here just to receive attention.

Second of all, why all the sudden around midnight, are reports saying Gruden turned us down? You have to remember what Currie said during the press conference. “If you hear reports about what’s going on in our coaching search that’s not from him, it’s probably not true.”

Gruden may have turned us down or even agreed to be our HC. One thing is for certain, you can’t default Currie for trying to get him on board. It shows that our Administration is being serious this time about going after a big time HC.

Until then, not one person knows anything about what’s going on in the Administration Department except Currie himself. Whoever is announced during the press conference, that’s when all of us will know who UT’s next HC is.

All we can do now is hope for the best and let it play out.

for anyone that's still confused, this is a troll.

Seems to me people are forgetting....we were told to "relax" and to expect this. Granted, I've been drinking, and I was here in 2012, but 2012 had nowhere near this amount of positive information. So until Gruden himself says no, I'm still All In. Let's
plan the party

A whole bunch of people heard exactly the same thing at almost exactly the same time. Which would make one believe:

Gruden made a statement he was not committing (didn't happen)

Currie made a statement they couldn't get Gruden to commit (didn't happen)

These people all have the same source that fed them the same line (extremely likely)

Common sense, people. Use it.

Common sense is far from common.
