I've been a lurker for 8 years, but after following these threads for 4 days straight, and I mean 4 days of doing absolutely nothing at work or home, I figured it was time to pop my posting cherry. I'd wanted it to be a solid BOOM, but this will have to do. Thank you guys for the info and endless entertainment. I've always loved this board, but the last week has been on a whole other level of awesome.

This will be my last time to drop a name. It’s already got me in some heat. VN deserves to know. Darrell Wyke has told someone close to me that Gruden is a done deal. 100%. He is extremely connected and knows many of the players. Players have told him that Gruden is coming on top of his connection with the athletic department. Was told Jennings was either going pro or transferring at season end if butch was retained. He couldn’t hide the plane flight story once Brice’s story came out. My Close friend promised him he wasn’t going to place any bets (he isn’t) and then he said we got gruden and could be announced any day due to all the leaks. He said if it wasn’t for social media and this insatiable desire for info they would have held off until sec championship game for announcement. I’m all in. Down to celebrate once this is officially announced!

I was JK Charlotte is an awesome city...I've never had much of a problem travelling there and I love the airport...always flew out of there whenever possible to avoid Atlanta, Dallas, or O'Hare

Whoever our next coach is I want one with cockiness and an "edge" to him. I'm sorry but when Kiffin said we were gonna sing Rocky Top all night long after we beat Florida...I loved that. Butch had zero cockiness. It was always "Well Indiana State has a very very good football team and we're gonna have our hands full" etc etc. EVERY TEAM we played was gonna be an enormous challenge for our "YOUNG" football team...and if we beat them an enormous accomplishment. I'd rather hear how we intend to stomp Kentucky and Vanderbilt...how "This is Tennessee man...we're going to Athens to kick azz and take names". You know what I mean. Some confidence and swagger. Fulmer used to give us some of that. With Butch we were always the sad sack losers and we'd be lucky to beat anybody. It would be a feat of great resiliency and a sign of our maturation if we could somehow eke out an SEC win according to him.
