Official Jon Gruden Thread 36

I’m certain Currie is intelligent enough to understand that his prized $340 million renovation will be a moot point because no one will be there to watch if he hires Mike Norvell or some other mid tier coach . This fanbase is growing tired of the losing, Currie does get that I think. He’s swinging for the fences and I’m honestly heartened by the fact he’s proceeding with no search firm. I’m anything but a Currie fan and didn’t like how he drug out the inevitable firing of Jones(definitely triggering my Battered Vol Syndrome) and dragging the fanbase through the tumult but he did fire Jones and give himself time to conduct a search. I’m putting faith in those trusted posters here and believe that this isn’t 2012.

I agree with you that Currie knows this is a HUGE hire, I truthfully believe he has gone after Gruden.

That being said, UNTIL CURRIE HIMSELF is at the podium with Gruden standing next to him. Jon Gruden is not 100% our coach, Vegas doesn’t know so stop using that as an “it’s happening”.

I believe if Gruden is not the Coach, we will see a Patterson or Frost hire. Which IMO would be HR hires.

He did?

Shirley you weren't taking me seriously.

Late to the party, any updates tonight?

No I don’t believe so. This topic comes in waves. Each good day is followed by a day of panic. Yesterday was a good day. Today hasn’t actually been bad, but there’s hasn’t been any info I’ve seen except for the few usual media reporters who claim no way it’ll happen, then proceed to say they actually have zero info at all.

But the lack of info causes people to panic, because we are naturally always wanting/needing info. But if I’ve learned anything here, tomorrow will be better to some degree since today was quiet.

Here’s a good one for ya:

One of my buddies in Fayetteville sent me a text suggesting their fan base has posted a pic of Houston Nutt as their new AD, and Gus Malzahn as their new HC.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

So, there really are people out there as crazy as we are.

Just a quick point for Freak and all the mods. I got a happy birthday alert when I logged in. You all run a real classy joint around here.

Now, for a gift you can bring me confirmation that JG is our coach.

Goldrush Junction!

Edit: Aaah. two posts too late. you *****ers are fast lol.

Wasn't the Dollywood property known briefly as Silver Dollar City? Found this:

Visitors continued to flock to this attraction located just outside the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains. For a single season in 1976, Goldrush Junction was known simply as Goldrush. In 1977, the park would undergo yet another name change as well as a change in ownership. Jack and Pete Herschend of the Branson-based Herschend Enterprises purchased Goldrush, and it would now be known as Silver Dollar City, Tennessee.

Hey Beaver, can you confirm that OrangePill is an insider, he claims to know you and Bubba by name.

"I vouch for them both. Know who both of them are and how they play into all of this."

:hi:

You guys should bump this post to see if Beaver can answer this. Considering this guy is claiming to know who he is personally.

Just saying...
