there is potential that all of this is being leaked so it can't be construed that TN didn't put it's absolute best foot forward to land JG.

can't be seen as not having tried...and by tried i mean literally making him tell you no multiple times.

that's at least a possibility....and maybe why you're hearing now the "they got turned down"...it gives Currie and co some credibility from an effort standpoint.

By "access" I mean press credentials, ability to ask questions during the press conferences, interview players and coaches, etc.

It's like being in the White House press corps. You trade actual reporting, which might be critical of the entity you are reporting on, in exchange for being able to be seen on camera with the people you are reporting on and carrying their water.

If anything, Hyams knows something is going on and his setting up a smokescreen for the school.

otherwise, this looks like a bunch of nincompoops that are just looking out do the other.

so for Hyams to just twee that "it's not happening", with nothing to really contradict what had already been reported, is just kind of dumb.

it's basically "yes they are" followed by "no they're not", rinse and repeat and drive everyone nuts in the process.

someone will look pretty dumb when it's all over.

He did say that they didn't meet with Gruden today, if the rumors are to be believed, the deal went down last night. So it's possible Jimmy could get off on a technicality if they do hire him.

So we’re all standing around, excited that the deal is done, and there are planes headed back to Knoxville... soooo... what now? This feels like a scene from the Office.

Sometimes silence is magnitudes louder than words.

The fact that you have heard nothing from the big three (Atlanta, Bubba, & Beaver) means that everything is still on track. If this deal had fallen apart then one of the first things they would have done is come here to end all of the speculation. They were all here in 2012 and don't want to see that happen to us again. Their silence means far more than anything they could say right now. Plus I was told today by the same person who had me leak the Tampa meeting yesterday morning that the deal is done.

sure thing! I don't really know how this site works, as I only use it to read and started an account so I could see screenshots and whatnot, but if you DM me I'd be happy to talk. Actually one of my favorite things about the thread, which was surprising, is that people link up on here for all kinds of stuff, even work. Gotta love vol fans, man.
