I think the damaging part of what you asserted last night was that some had contacted you privately and asked for collusion on what they were posting. You probably know who I am through your relationship with EA....I challenge you to simply state that I was not one of those individuals privately pushing you to collude...and in fact you and I have never spoken.

The rest I can live with, in fact I welcome. Scrutiny is a good thing, and blind Faith is dangerous. Too many took what you were saying last night as Gospel about anyone other than yourself. I'd appreciate a little honest clarity.

I just made a post clarifying and no, you are not specifically who I was referring to. We shared info in 2012 and you never asked me to corroborate or post anything. You are not saying things like "Its Done" and "100%" and "Contract is signed" etc....

Having said that, he obviously hasn't updated his "trusted insiders" list in a year or more.
  • Deerpark was reportedly the Adidas rep to our AD office, and hasn't been connected to Tennessee since we switched to Nike.
  • Skeeter left the AD's office, what, about a year ago? And hasn't had any insider access since.
  • LWS used to be well connected (I think he's a low-level booster, but not sure about that), but he told us himself that he got frustrated with the university leadership's unwillingness to take the effort to be a winning program, so he backed way out. Now he hears tidbits from time to time, but is largely disengaged. Again, he told us all this himself.
So...BCarter is basically saying that he has no current insiders that he trusts. And that's absolutely fine, that is his call. 100%.

But I choose to trust Atlanta Vol, and because of him, Beav and Bubba. I also trust that Tuesday is who he says he is.

And when all four of them reacted with elation within minutes of each other yesterday, and gave the cryptic hints they did, that sealed it for me.

We've got Jon Gruden. I think (though may have been misreading the tea leaves) that we have Tee Martin, as well. And I firmly believe CJG welcomed his coaching staff into his home in Tampa yesterday evening to get acquainted.

That's how I read it all, and why. You do you, naturally.

This is spot on. Baby has excellent sources and most of them got it wrong in 2012. There were hangups that gave Jon an opportunity to say no in 2012. I personally think he was looking for a gracious way to say no in 2012 and he found it.

There are other factors that may come into play this time around that weren't there in 2012.

Baby got a very raw deal from a lot of posters in 2012 and it was a real shame that it drove him away from some places for a while.

A little short story about 2012 that I do not believe I have posted yet. And I respectfully ask people stop posting where I work or who I am in real life not because I am shy but because I do not want to start getting calls at my business based on what I posted on a message board.

In 2012 I was far more connected than now. I am still great friends with a bunch of VFLs from the 94-98 era and was involved with the team during that time period but not as a player to be clear. I know some former assistant coaches and some people in the media that often tell me different things personally than what they say on air. Things were much different in 2012. My company supplied goods and services to the Athletic Department and I spoke almost on daily basis with officials within the AD including Assistant AD's, Transportation Directors, Media Directors etc... I am still in touch with some of them that have moved on to other schools. Back in 2012 EVERY person I spoke with said "Gruden is coming" and I willfully shared that info here. I got in trouble with UT because they Facebook stalked me since I never really tried to hide who I was thus making it easy. I was flamed to the point I left Vol Nation for several years when he didn't end up our coach.

My point is I see a HUGE red flag when someone says 100%, Its done, the eagle has landed or any other sort of post that implies the finality has been reached and a contract has been signed. I thought some of you that are newer people that were not around in 2012 should see this and now where I am coming from.

I am all in 100% that I want Gruden but again, after the 2012 debacle, I will believe it (and celebrate like hell) when I see it.

I apologize for the "Troll" post last night. I do not take back what I said because it is true but should not have posted it probably. I do not know any of the new insiders and the specific people I am talking about, although a couple are here, the vast majority are people that get quoted from TOS that found out who I was and started calling-texting me under the rouse of sharing information when in reality they wanted me to validate their information on Vol Nation. The same for Twitter which I have not even looked at since then.

Real simple. I don't care at all about your opinion me personally, or what I post. But I do care that many associated that rumor with me. It's the only thing I ask.

No, i don't have an agenda. I don't care when he would be announced. It's just my opinion. And once it's done, there will be leaks that can't be held. Everyone knows that. We will more than likely know if he is or isn't the next coach when we see the tweets that "so and so has agreed to be the next UT coach"

I will say it is of no benefit to announce today, tomorrow or Saturday with our team playing 48hrs or so from now. It would be a distraction and a disservice to them. Probably Sunday or early next week they'll announce. However, if they did announce today I would be okay!

He is also the most consistently negative person I have seen on these forums because he is still butthurt about the Fulmer stuff and takes every opportunity to put down the AD (even if they do mostly deserve it).

Skeeter bas been proven here that he no lo get has much connection either.

So you guys are putting faith in Carter who says he only puts faith in 2 guys, can't comment on then other person, that have proven before your eyes to not have any real inside information anymore. LWS is simply giving you his "educated" opinion znd maybe what he gets from people that once were connected but now are much further down the list

I'll take Larry's opinion over all the "inside" info on here combined. A lot of people respect his opinion, you likely don't like it because he doesn't shoot rainbows out his a** like everyone else.
