you spend a few days saying it is basically a done deal and stirring the pot and now you are backtracking and saying it is 50% and want to drop out of the thread.

I'd like to clear something up with you.

I have no issue with your warning to everyone last night, even without the specifics that would have put some of this to rest. I've always valued what you post, and used it to corroborate what I hear.

I think the damaging part of what you asserted last night was that some had contacted you privately and asked for collusion on what they were posting. You probably know who I am through your relationship with EA....I challenge you to simply state that I was not one of those individuals privately pushing you to collude...and in fact you and I have never spoken.

The rest I can live with, in fact I welcome. Scrutiny is a good thing, and blind Faith is dangerous. Too many took what you were saying last night as Gospel about anyone other than yourself. I'd appreciate a little honest clarity.

The recruiters do all the work and Saban shows up at the end to seal the deal. Now if it is a 5 star recruit they really want Saban may be a little more involved but in general he is just a closer on the deal.

I thought Currie met with Jones after the airing of the CBJ show. I must have heard what he said in the press conference wrong. Not that it matters.

Whatever happens, I am ready for it to be over. I would like something to happen whether it be good or bad so I can get back to being a productive member of society again instead of addicted to a d*** message board.

There is some truth to this.... because I have heard so many different things in this search .... some positive from people I trust and some negative from people I trust.

Some from people I trust here on Volnation and some from personal contacts .... I try to weigh what I hear and trust everyone and bring what I think ...But as new information comes forward... I reserve the right to adjust to it... only a fool or a hardheaded individual is closed minded

And by the way... this search and the ups and downs that I HEAR wears me out at times as well :thud:

The same people have told me positive things about Gruden, but I have NEVER predicted it this time. Personally I feel very positive. I heard yesterday it was done. But I have also said repeatedly that I am just along for the ride. I've intentionally not posted certain things I hear, and frequently only confirmed things once they come out from somebody else.

I'm not here to reassure anyone, and it would only last about 15 minutes if I did. I most certainly am not here to troll. I just want to be here and enjoy the process, have fun with some posters I like and pass along what I hear if it's relevant.

My guess is Nick rarely makes a home visit. It would have to be a top 5 guy for that to happen IMO.

The bad thing about Grudemania is that it hampers everyone's ability to read dates and any other obvious details on Twitter and elsewhere.
